It is an FDA-cleared, minimally invasive body sculpting procedure that utilizes ultrasound waves to help reduce fat and smooth the skin’s surface without damaging the surrounding tissue. Vaser, an acronym for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, is a liposuction tool that delivers ultrasound energy in pulses through a specially designed probe.

The first step in your 360-degree journey is a private meeting with Dr. Ahmed. During this consultation, you will share your body contouring goals, medical and health history, and any questions you may have about the procedure. Dr. Ahmed will then discuss the 360 Lipo in detail to ensure that you understand the process. From there, the doctor will perform a physical examination. After this thorough assessment, Dr. Ahmed will qualify your candidacy for surgery.

In order to best help you prepare for surgery, Dr. Ahmed will provide you with specific instructions during your consultation and pre-operative appointment. While each 360 Lipo patient will have unique needs, there are some general directives you must be sure to follow before surgery.
You will need to stop smoking, vaping, and drinking alcohol at least one month before your procedure.
Dr. Ahmed will need to know about your medication regimen during your consultation. He may then provide directions on stopping or altering your medications. You will need to stop taking medicines that thin your blood, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, supplements, and prescription blood thinners.
You will need to appoint a trusted adult to drive you home after your procedure. This person should be able to stay with you for at least 24 hours.
Dr. Ahmed may give you prescriptions that you should fill out before your surgery day so that you have them on hand when needed.
On the day of your procedure, Dr. Ahmed will meet with you to review your treatment plan. He will use a felt tip marker to highlight the incision sites, areas of focus, and anatomical landmarks.
After you are in the operating room, you will be given either general anesthesia or local anesthesia with IV sedation to keep you comfortable during the procedure. Once the anesthesia has taken effect, Dr. Ahmed will make small incisions in the treatment area. From there, the doctor will insert a thin, hollow tube, called a cannula, under your skin. The cannula will distribute tumescent fluid in the area. The tumescent fluid consists of epinephrine to help minimize bleeding and bruising, a local anesthetic to numb the area, and a sterile saline solution.
Dr. Ahmed will then use the cannula to break up the fat deposits. At this time, the cannula will emit targeted ultrasound waves to the treatment area, loosening and liquifying the fat cells, making them easier to extract. Once the fat is adequately softened, Dr. Ahmed will use the cannula to remove the fat through gentle suction. He will take time to contour your body to your specifications, slimming and shaping the treatment area, leaving you with a more toned, attractive contour in as little as one hour.
After the procedure, your body will be sore and swollen. You may be expected to wear a compression garment to mitigate swelling and help your body conform to its new contours. Depending on the area(s) treated with 360-degree Liposuction, cosmetic drains may be placed in the incisions to remove excess fluid build-up from under your skin.
Because the Vaser technique is gentler on the body than traditional liposuction, you can return to work in as little as a week! After two to three weeks post-op, you may resume more strenuous activity. Dr. Ahmed will consult with you individually to determine the best plan for your recovery.
The results of your 360 Liposuction will be immediately apparent. Although the treatment area will swell for some time, the unsightly pockets of fat will be gone for good. As you continue to heal, your new shape will improve and emerge!
