Put Your Best Face Forward
Simple procedures often have the most drastic results. Facial implants fall into this category for many people. Patients who get facial implants can often see serious changes in their appearance, uplifting their self esteem. Facial implants come in a variety of types. Here at Las Vegas Body Sculpting, we do chin implants, cheek implants, jaw implants, and temporal implants. If you want to know the exact shape, size, and type of implant you’ll be getting, you can discuss it with Dr. Ahmed during your FREE consultation. Chin implants are used for people who are concerned with the size and projection of the chin. A chin implant will increase how large the chin looks and how much it protrudes. When the chin is not proportioned to the mid-face area and the forehead, especially if the chin appears ‘weak’, a chin implant can help the face look more proportional. A well-designed chin implant can give the jawline a more defined appearance. It’s also nearly impossible to tell if a person had this surgery, if meeting them for the first time. Different chin shapes and sizes fit different faces better. For this reason, it’s important to contact Dr. Ahmed for a FREE consultation to discuss how your chin implant will look.
Cheek implants, also called cheek augmentation, are used to improve how the cheekbones protrude. Often times, cheek implants are used to create the appearance of a high, full cheekbone. By getting cheek implants, the patient can enhance their facial areas which may appear flat or recessed. Cheek implants are inserted into the face through intraoral incisions along the upper gum. These implants are then attached to the cheekbone, essentially augmenting the cheek.
A jaw implant is one of the best ways to create the appearance of a well-defined facial bone structure. These implants increase the size, width, and/or shape of the jaw line, making it much stronger. It’s particularly effective in cases of skeletal mandibular deficiency that is not corrected through orthodontic means, and this affects 20 percent of SMD patients. These go particularly well with chin implants in cases where a stronger, more angular face is desired.
Temporal implants are silicone pieces inserted below the skin on the temples. They are perfect for patients who, due to aging, are not satisfied with the shape of their face. Aging often causes hollows in the temples and can make someone look even older than they would like. These implants can also change the effective shape of the face to be more full, even in people who are not experiencing an older-looking appearance due to sagging skin.
